Military History Day

I’ve seen this one! Re-enactors come and show off real WWII vehicles including a ‘duck’ (an amphibious truck) and weapons. A D-Day Veteran will share stories and there will be period songs. The Wenham is an amazing example of a world-class museum in the middle of ‘nowhere’ and this is one of VERY few World War II re-enactments in New England. A true gem. 10am-3:30pm. Connecticut River Valley Astronomers Conjunction

Newport Kite Festival

While you’re there, check this out. The best thing about Kite Festivals is trying it yourself and getting advice from experts! The secret is that cheap toy store kites are harder to fly.
