Boston City Harbor Cruises Turns 100 – 5 stars cruises!

manager of Boston Harbor City Cruises. August
26th was a special birthday for those in Boston. Boston Harbor Cruises turned 100 and boy did
they celebrate. Guests were treated with
a buffet of seafood including snow crab claws, oysters, shrimp and the famous
Boston lobster roll. All this plus
squash ravioli, salmon, roast beef, glazed ham, Italian seasoned chicken and
much more.
Food is a key element.
Boston Harbor City Cruises never brings in outside caterers. Rather, they hire top chefs to prepare all
the food served and have entire restaurant team of wait staff, bar tenders and
servers. This ensures that guests get
top notch food as if they were in a top-notch restaurant. Nothing is left to be generic or low quality.
The boat serves a full bar.
There is a good selection of beer and wine as well as signature
cocktails. The two for this occasion were
the ever-popular Mojito and The French 75, a mix of Prosecco, gin and
lemon. There is easily an adult drink
for all and of course soft drinks if that’s your jam.
You can say that this summer has been the Summer of the Odessey. The movie is the most obvious one, but there
is also the Odessey, Boston Harbor Cruises premier vessel. The ship’s Captain Hans was welcoming and
allowed a quick tour of the ship’s bridge, the brain of the vessel where it is
piloted. Hans, who was originally from Rotterdam,
began as a simple deckhand with Boston Harbor Cruises. Within a year he had taken his test to receive
his pilot’s license for a 100-ton vessal and was made captain and has been for
the last 5 years.
Although not in attendance, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu sent a
special envoy for the celebration. She
now has declared August 26th Boston Harbor Cruise Day in Boston
henceforth. That’s quite an honor. Then again, it’s not often that someone or
even a business lasts 100 years. So the
accolades are well earned and well deserved.
And with a birthday came a cake of course! And if you weren’t stuffed enough, there was
a dessert table complete with carrot cakes, tiramisu and macaroons. And if you wanted a healthy treat, fruits as
well.
Boston Harbor City cruises offer scenic cruises all over the
Harbor that include dinners, lunches and brunches. They are open for corporate and private events,
including celebrations like birthdays and holidays. They can accommodate any special occasion you
wish to celebrate.
They also have ferry services to such destinations as Cape
Cod and Provincetown. Plus, they have a
Bingo Cruise and Whale Watching. And for
