Abe Lincoln is still celebrating turning 200! This re-enactment is in southern New Hampshire, right near the border. It’s practically Lowell. So go! 7:30pm. Sponsored by the Hollis Historical Society.

Also for New Age healers is this bellydancing festival! And you can get Henna, which is sort of like a tattoo for people who are (smart? Not so hard core? Take your pick. ) want it to wash off in a week.

Your bellydancing skils will come in handy at this 18-hour dance marathon to benefit AIDS research.

The Boston Tea Party – Swing Dance Festival Mar 26 – Mar 29 North Shore
There’s no charity, but for enthusiasts, here is an entire weekend of workshops, classes, and dance parties for swing, lindy hop, ballroom dancing. Also a c]ompetition. Register in advance.

SlamBoston is the ultimate poetry slam, because they mix in theatre as well to create eight short plays. I’ve seen one and it’s great fun, not snooty or unapproachable at all.
