Kowloon Restaurant Hosts a Feast for Fans of Wrestling and Writing
Kowloon Restaurant is an unmistakable landmark. Located just north of Boston, it stands as New England’s most famous destination for Asian cuisine. Upon entering, guests are greeted warmly by the host before stepping past a wall lined with photos and autographs from countless celebrities including athletes, movie stars, and politicians alike. Many come for the food, but they stay for the one-of-a-kind atmosphere of the region’s largest and most iconic Tiki bar.

Among Kowloon’s most devoted regulars are professional wrestlers. These larger-than-life performers often stop in for hearty helpings of Saugus Wings or a legendary Pu Pu Platter. Over the years, Kowloon has become not only a place for great meals but also a venue where wrestling stars meet fans and promote their latest projects.
While some might assume wrestlers are all muscle and no intellect, the truth is far from it. Since the late 1990s, many have turned to writing, producing bestselling memoirs that chronicle their wild, chaotic, and often inspiring lives on the road.
The man who started that trend was none other than Mick Foley, known to millions as The Hardcore Legend. Famous for his brutal, high-risk matches in Japan and later in the WWF (now WWE), Foley took on the persona of Mankind – a deranged and fearless competitor with little concern for his own safety. His most infamous bout came against The Undertaker in the legendary Hell in a Cell match, during which he fell sixteen feet through a table, was choke-slammed through the cage roof, and later slammed into a pile of thumbtacks all in a single night.
Foley’s resilience and dedication paid off when he defeated Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for the World Championship, cementing his place in wrestling history. Soon after, he surprised the world again this time outside the ring by penning his memoir Have a Nice Day! A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks, which became a New York Times bestseller and inspired a wave of wrestlers-turned-authors to follow in his footsteps.

Last year, Foley brought his storytelling skills to Kowloon for an evening talk and fan meet-and-greet which was an event that drew a huge crowd and sold out quickly. Now, he’s returning once again for his “40 Years of Foley” tour. On November 12th at 7 PM, fans will have another chance to meet the man behind Mankind, Cactus Jack, and Dude Love. VIP tickets are required for autographs and the full experience and if last year’s turnout is any indication, they’ll go fast.
But Mick Foley isn’t the only wrestler-turned-author making an appearance at Kowloon this November. Natalya Neidhart, known to fans simply as Nattie will be appearing on November 10th from 2 PM to 5 PM to sign copies of her brand-new book, The Last Hart Beating.
A true third-generation competitor, Natalya comes from one of the most respected dynasties in professional wrestling. Her grandfather, the legendary Stu Hart, founded Stampede Wrestling in Calgary and trained many of the sport’s biggest names. Her father, Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, was one half of the iconic tag team The Hart Foundation, while her uncles include the great Bret “The Hitman” Hart, a multi-time WWF Champion, and Owen Hart, whose in-ring brilliance and tragic passing still resonate deeply with fans around the world.
With a lineage like that, Nattie is wrestling royalty. Yet her success is entirely her own. She trained in the infamous Hart Dungeon, a brutal proving ground where generations of wrestlers earned their stripes. Since debuting in WWE, she has gone on to become a multi-time Women’s World Champion and Tag Team Champion, earning a reputation for both technical skill and professionalism inside and outside the ring.
Kowloon’s walls are already lined with photos of stars who have dined, laughed, and shared stories within its Tiki-lit halls. Now, fans have the chance to add their own memories to that legacy. Join Kowloon on November 10th to meet Nattie Neidhart, and again on November 12th to meet The Hardcore Legend himself, Mick Foley. Two wrestling icons, one legendary restaurant and a feast of stories you won’t forget.
