| The event of the week is the re-enactment of the Boston Massacre. It’s the historical event that got the British fighting with the American colonists before the War of Indepdendence. Sat 11am & 2pm little kids re-enact the massacre in a strange combination of cute and horrid. 11:30 & 2:30 Trial of the Century w/ John Adams. Then 7pm Boston Massacre re-enactment. And it’s free! | TONIGHT! I’ve got free tickets for a screening of “Brooklyn’s Finest”, tonigiht at 7:30pm (but plan to arrive at least an hour early to get a seat). | I am told that the Passion Plunge does NOT involve mentally challenged kids being encouraged to dive into freezing water. It’s a charity for the rest of us to help support them. | We’re not letting go of winter this week, or the Chinese New Year, which apparently continues, this time at the Boston Chinese Neighborhood Center, complete with a lion dance and food. | Everyone’s excited about the Academy Awards, which you couldn’t get a seat to even if you did live in California. Please don’t be fooled by local bars that do nothing but put it on the television. That is not an event! I called King’s, for example, and they basically said they weren’t doing anything special, but, “um, well, we’ll have it on the TV!”.
