Sat 12/4Boston MetroTrying to set a world record for caroling
The Boston Symphony Orchestra is trying to set a caroling world record! Come to the Pru’s outdoor plaza and join them. They’ll give out free hot chocolate! 11:30am-1:30pm. Prudential Center Plaza, Boston, MA. more
Wed 12/1Boston MetroBrookline Public Menorah Lighting
5pm. Finally I found some more Chanukah events. Beacon St at Pleasant St, Brookline, MA. more
Fri 12/3Southeast MassLights on Taunton Christmas Celebration
It’s small, but at least they’re trying to make this event a real festival, with hay rides, Mrs. Claus, and participatory caroling. 43 Taunton Green, Taunton, MA. more
Fri 12/3 – Sun 12/5North ShoreGreening of the Great House: Crane Estate Holiday Open House
Visiting Castle Hill at any time of the year is a great opportunity. It’s an old and beautiful mansion. They’ll have a wood turning demonstration, but basically the ‘event’ here is to get to walk around the wonderful grounds. Castle Hill, Ipswich, MA. more
Sat 12/4 – Sun 12/5Northern MassCocoa with Santa: Winnekenni Castle
You can have cocoa with Santa with unspecified “kids activities”… Ho Ho Hum… but there’s a free sing-a-long on Sunday. Um, also for kids. But the castle is a lovely location that I was just at in October. It might be a great location to stroll around their park and building. Winnekenni Castle, 347 Kenoza Ave, Haverhill, MA. more

And this one features Gelt. What is Gelt? Well, it also features donuts. 6pm. Needham Town Common, Needham, MA. more
Fri 12/3Boston MetroHood EggNog Lights the Night at the Milk Bottle
You know how, outside the Children’s Museum in Boston, there’s a giant Hood milk bottle? Well, from 5-7:30pm they’ll have holiday lights and Hood will give out free samples of milk. Even though their website is down, I confirmed this. Boston Children’s Museum Wharf, Boston, MA. more
