Boston Dragon Boat Festival

ROWRR! On Sunday these dragon boats come with a lion dance, martial arts demos, Japanese drumming, live music, and Chinese yo-yo. So it’s a real festival. Saturday: racing only. –
Boston Irish Festival

Top ‘o the morning to you! The largest Irish festival on the East Coast features four stages of music and dance, and a few booths. When I went, I didn’t find particularly innovative, unlike the Scottish Festivals I’ve been to. But then, I did go on a rainy Sunday. –

Not for dieters! I went once to this all-you-can-eat fest for charity and ate so much ice cream I nearly hurt myself. Oh, my tummy. It’s the biggest event of its type in the world. 12-8pm daily. –

Put on an Obama mask and LGBT people to buy you beer at this entire week of events! Once I knew this guy with a New York Fire Department t-shirt, and people kept buying him beers even though he was never a firefigthter, and they seemed so happy that he was too embarassed to tell them. –
